Bitumen melt-bonded roll coating is used for installing the top layers of roofing. The coating is made by coating a reinforced polyester fiber base on both sides with a binder made of SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) polymer-modified bitumen. The material is covered from below with a protective layer – a polymer film, and from above – with coarse-grained mineral aggregate (slate). (Turkey) The top layer coating performs a waterproofing function and protects against sunlight. It is an integral part of the roofing and cannot be laid in one layer.
